Beginning Direct Seed 101 Session
Monday - January 6th 3p.m. - 5:30p.m.
The Beginning Direct Seed 101 Session will feature a panel of experienced Direct Seeders who will share their successes and failures in their direct seed operations. There is no additional cost to attend this pre-conference session, however pre-registration is required.
Advanced Soil Health Course
Thursday January 9th (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
Integrating Nutrition and Biology toward Plant and Soil Health
- Joel Williams, Integrated Soils. This full day, intensive class will outline the principles and practice of transiting towards low input, agroecological production systems. The discussion will be underpinned by the ESR Framework (efficiency, substitution, redesign) and will outline strategies for producers to (1) improve input efficiencies (ii) substitute dependency on synthetic inputs and (iii) redesign their production systems toward agroecology with plane species diversity. Unlocking soil nutrients toward improving input efficiencies. Pre-registration is required for this course (lunch is included with your registration).
